Join our 16 Days of Strategic Action for Leaders

Violence against women and girls remains one of the most prevalent and pervasive human rights violations in the world. Globally, almost one in three women have been subjected to physical and/or sexual intimate partner violence, non-partner sexual violence, or both, at least once in their life.

Every year, the international community comes together for 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence - a campaign that runs from 25th November (International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women) to 10th December (Human Rights Day).

These 16 days are a time to:

  • Raise awareness about gender-based violence as a human rights issue

  • Mobilise action to prevent and respond to violence against women and girls

  • Advocate for policy and system change

  • Stand in solidarity with survivors and the organisations that support them

The campaign recognises that ending violence against women and girls requires sustained action at every level - from individual attitudes to international policy - and that those working on the frontlines of this issue need support, connection and strategic clarity to create lasting change.

About the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and 16 Days of Activism

Our 2025 pro-bono offer

This year, the Centre for Safer Society is marking the 16 Days of Activism by offering strategic support to leaders working to end violence against women and girls. We know that those leading VAWG organisations are navigating impossible pressures - rising demand, funding challenges, workforce sustainability, and the daily weight of responding to trauma and crisis.

Strategic thinking gets crowded out. Connection with peers who truly understand can feel out of reach. Yet this is exactly when clear strategic direction and supportive community matter most.

That's why we're offering two offers of completely free support in 2025:
